No matter which congregation you represent, we invite you to come along and celebrate this wonderful milestone for Pastor Changbin and our Chinese congregation here at BSBC.
Congratulations Pastor Changbin!
2. Trunk or Treat | October 25 | 2:30 to 3:30 pm
Coming up this Sunday, October 25 from 2:30 to 3:30 pm, we will be hosting our 6th Annual Trunk or Treat event!
Please invite your friends and family and anyone else, whether outside or inside of our church. This community outreach event is open to all! If you are part of the BSBC family and would still like to donate any treats, feel free to bring them to Pastor Nikki or the church office before Sunday.
Thank you for all of your help! For more information, to volunteer or to register your vehicle for this event, please email Pastor Nikki at nikki@bsbc.nb.ca.
3. Harvest For Hungry Update
Thank-you to everyone who donated financially or through nonperishable items to our Harvest for the Hungry collection for Thanksgiving. Thanks to your generous donations, the New Life cupboards are not nearly as bare, and we were able to also give many bags of groceries to our neighbours outside the church through the Greener Village Community foodbank. You have generously given $3,860.00 which will be split between the New Life Ministry and the Greener Village Food Bank. Your donations help at a time when many are struggling to pay bills, put food on the table and afford necessities.
Thank-you for your support.
BSBC Social Action Team
4. Library Artwork: Handprints
The Library Committee is trying to revamp the children and youth section in the library. We will be having a mural/decorative logo placed on the blue wall, but we thought it would so fun to include the kids/youth.
So, over the end the October until the beginning of November, the kids will have an opportunity to paint their hands, which will then be part of the wall sticker, along with their first name. The hand painting operation will take place during Preschool, KidzTown, and Youth Thursdays.
If you do not wish for your child to take part of this event, please notify the office, Sam, the Children’s Ministry Coordinator or Pastor Nikki.
5. Baked Goods for Connection Time
Connections Time is being enjoyed by many each Sunday. Along with the hot and cold drinks has been the addition of baked goods for everyone’s enjoyment. Helping Hands Auxiliary is seeking baked goods for this time and would welcome any additions each Sunday.
If you would like to bake or donate baked goods, please contact Andrea Bragdon at andreabragdon9@gmail.com or (506) 292-3568 or contact the Church Office.
Thank you so much, BSBC Family!!
6. WMS Plant Sale: November 1
Would you like to brighten your home with some beautiful indoor plants while supporting mission work both locally and around the world?
The Women's Missionary Society (WMS) will be hosting an Indoor Plant Sale in the gym during Connection Time on Sunday, November 1st. Plants will be available by donation, with all proceeds supporting missions near and far.
Have a plant that needs a new home? We'd love for you to bring it along and contribute to the sale!
Thanks to your generosity, the WMS has already distributed $700 this year to support the Green Hill Lake Camp washroom project, Days for Girls, Freedom Starts Here, Community of Hope (Moncton), and Atitso Global staff in Togo.
Come browse, donate, and help make a difference through missions. We look forward to seeing you there!
7. CBAC Justice Summit 2026: November 6
The CBAC Justice Summit will be from November 6 to 7 at Sunny Brae Baptist Church in Moncton.
The year’s theme is “The Radical Hospitality of Jesus.”
Speakers include:
Dorothy Peng, Director of Intercultural Ministries at Tyndale Seminary. She’ll help us practice radical hospitality for our unique ministry settings.
Daniel Yang, Senior Director of Global Mission and Church Movements at World Relief. He’ll help us think about migration, immigration, belonging and the future of the church.
There will be a group of BSBC members attending this event. If you are interested in attending, please contact Pastor Mark at mark@bsbc.nb.ca. For more information, check out the link below.
8. Reduce the Risk Training: November 8
On Sunday, November 8, Pastor Nikki and John Stewart will be hosting a session of our Reducing The Risk training for those who serve with the vulnerable population in our church’s ministries. Our training will take place between the Worship services during our Connection Time on the Third Floor from 10:30 to 11:10 am.
If you have not completed this training and are currently serving or wish to serve with ministries offered to children, youth or adults, please join us on November 8. There will be light refreshments, so please let Pastor Nikki know that you will be attending.
PVSCRC
Please note we are in the process of updating our leader and volunteer database, checking for expiry dates for Police Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Checks (PVSCRC) which need to be updated every 4 years. If your PVSCRC has expired or is nearing expiration you will be receiving an email from Pastor Nikki letting you know that a request letter has been printed and placed in the mail slot in the Connection Centre. Once you’ve received your letter you can take it to the police station and request a new PVSCRC. When you receive your new PVSCRC please drop it off at the church office. Thank you for giving your time and energy to our programs and ministries at BSBC. We appreciate you.
9. Stained Glass Windows Construction Update
The south-facing stained glass windows have been removed from the second floor. The contractor has advised that they arrived safely to their studio in Ontario.
The plywood hoarding and caulking will protect the window openings until the restored windows are reinstalled in spring 2027.
At that time, they will also repair on-site the remaining upper south-facing windows. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

11. Giving Thanks Through Generosity: Update
"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever." Psalm 107:1
As we celebrate Thanksgiving, we pause to praise God for His faithfulness, provision, and abundant blessings throughout the year. Every good gift comes from His hand, and we are grateful for His constant care.
This Thanksgiving season, we invited you to prayerfully participate in our special Thanksgiving Offering Goal of $10,000. Our desire is not simply to reach a financial target, but to glorify God through cheerful and sacrificial giving, trusting Him to use these gifts to advance His kingdom and bless others. To date, we have received $6,120.
Thank you for joining us in giving thanks to God through generous hearts and faithful stewardship.
Thank you to all who gave toward the special Thanksgiving offering. A total of $6,120 was given.
May God bless you, as you continue to support the ministries at Brunswick Street.

A. Sunday Streets Muffin Ministry: November 15
On behalf of our brothers and sisters who make a weekly evening trek around the city to visit those sleeping rough, and the members of your Social Action Team, thank you ‘muffin makers’ for your faithfulness serving in this way. Your sweet generosity is more than just baked goods; it’s an expression of care and hope in Jesus’ name.
Our Street Ministry team need muffins as soon as November 15 for our Sunday night outreach program. As we prepare for the busy summer months, we aim to have 4 dozen muffins each week to ensure we’re well-stocked and ready to bless those we serve. If you are able to help in this way, please place 12 muffins, individually wrapped, in a large zipper locked bag, and label the bag “Street Ministry”. Don’t forget to include your name and the delivery date for which you signed up. You can place the labeled muffins in the upright freezer in the main kitchen.
Please click the link below or call the church office (506-458-8348) and our admin team will be pleased to do the online registration for you. Jesus spoke of offering cups of cold water in his name. Muffins, we believe, offer the same opportunity to bless others for Him.
B. Security Volunteers Needed
We’re seeking dedicated volunteers to help keep our church safe and welcoming on weekday evenings from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Your presence makes a real difference — creating a warm, secure space where everyone feels at home. If you’re ready to step up and be part of this vital ministry, reach out to Mike Bech or call the church office at 506-458-8348 to learn more or sign up.
C. Third Sunday Supper: 2027 Monthly Schedule!
On the Third Sunday of each month, we host a supper for those in need in our community. We are now looking to fill our 2027 monthly calendar with folks willing to prepare a meal for our Third Sunday Supper (TSS) guests. At this time we only have January filled. All the other months are available, and we are anxious to fill the first few months, to get us going. We'd appreciate if you would prayerfully consider helping out with this ministry that the Lord has truly blessed for so many years.
Please contact Judy Thompson, TSS Meal Coordinator, at 506-238-9903 or judypaul1088@gmail.com. If you wish to serve in another way, just come along on the third Sunday of each month at 4:00pm. Thank you and God Bless You!

Hello BSBC Family,
We hope this message finds you well! We want to take a moment to thank you for your continued support and patience as we work to improve how we stay connected as a church community.
We’re excited to share that BSBC is now using a new online congregational directory that we hope will be more user-friendly and accessible for everyone. This updated directory will serve as a combined contact list and include our official list of Members – both Resident and Non-Resident – as well as Adherents and Guests.
To join the directory, each family member must contact Naomi in the church office at Naomi.Phillips@bsbc.nb.ca to receive their welcome email and get started. Thank you for hanging in with us as we navigate this shift. We truly appreciate your grace and flexibility as we move toward a more connected future. Blessings from the BSBC Church Office.
21. Bereavement
Joan Kierstead
The family of Joan Kierstead announce her passing on Saturday October 10, 2026. She was a lifelong member of Brunswick Street for many years, where she was involved with numerous committees and activities, including the WMS. While the BSBC family will miss her, we are thrilled she is the arms of Jesus.
Joan took great joy in helping her three boys and their families. She demonstrated her love for her Lord and Saviour through her gentle compassion for others; her happy demeanour was always on display. She especially loved visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at Brunswick Street Baptist Church on Friday, October 16, 2026 at 12 pm. The family will receive friends and visitors at a reception after the funeral at Brunswick Street Baptist Church until 2:30 pm. For the full obituary click the link below:
22. Community Events
It’s going to be a wonderful evening celebrating the people and organizations making a difference in our community, featuring Keynote Speaker MP Richard Bragdon, Champion Boxer Brandon Brewer sharing his testimony, and Pastor & Author Steve Ranni. The evening will include dinner, live music, an exciting auction, Impact Partner Awards & Recognition, fellowship, prizes and inspiring stories of community impact.
