1. Giving Thanks Through Generosity: Update
"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever." Psalm 107:1
As we celebrate Thanksgiving, we pause to praise God for His faithfulness, provision, and abundant blessings throughout the year. Every good gift comes from His hand, and we are grateful for His constant care.
This Thanksgiving season, we invited you to prayerfully participate in our special Thanksgiving Offering Goal of $10,000. Our desire is not simply to reach a financial target, but to glorify God through cheerful and sacrificial giving, trusting Him to use these gifts to advance His kingdom and bless others. To date, we have received $1,100.00.
Thank you for joining us in giving thanks to God through generous hearts and faithful stewardship.
2. Library Artwork: Handprints
The Library Committee is trying to revamp the children and youth section in the library. We will be having a mural/decorative logo placed on the blue wall, but we thought it would so fun to include the kids/youth.
So, over the end the October until the beginning of November, the kids will have an opportunity to paint their hands, which will then be part of the wall sticker, along with their first name. The hand painting operation will take place during Preschool, KidzTown, and Youth Thursdays.
If you do not wish for your child to take part of this event, please notify the office, Sam, the Children’s Ministry Coordinator or Pastor Nikki.
3. Stained Glass Windows Construction Update
The south-facing stained glass windows have been removed from the second floor. The contractor has advised that they arrived safely to their studio in Ontario.
The plywood hoarding and caulking will protect the window openings until the restored windows are reinstalled in spring 2027.
Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

After lunch, we will welcome Joshua Bradley from the Fredericton Fire Department who will remind us how to stay fire safe as we head into the holiday season.
No need to pre-register, just bring your appetite and come!
5. Ordination Service for Pastor Changbin Tian: October 25
Please join us for the Ordination Service for Pastor Changbin Tian on Sunday, October 25 at 7:00 pm in the sanctuary.

The Millette Family are serving in Canada with SIM Canada and Sports Friends with a focus on equipping churches for Sports Ministry. Please keep Charles, Sarah, Lucie, Victoria, and Jospeh Millette in your prayers.
Their prayer requests as they embark on their journey are as follows:
Praise God for growth of the Sports Friends Canada team with additions of Craig & Laura (Prairies) and Nathan & Amber (BC)

9. BSBC Missions Partners: The Millette Family
On Friday, October 16, we celebrate Bob Ingraham’s 97th birthday!
Bob has been a faithful member of BSBC for more than 60 years, and quite possibly longer than many of us have been around. Through the years, he has shared his time, talents, and servant's heart in many areas of church life, including helping in the church kitchen during Alpha sessions. Bob fondly remembers the many friendships and memories he has made as part of our church family.
Bob was married to his beloved wife, Marion, for 66 wonderful years. He misses her dearly, remembering her not only as his wife and best friend, but also as his devoted caregiver. Today, Bob lives with his daughter, Anne, in Grand Lake, while his other daughter, Leslie, lives in Nova Scotia and visits often.
As we celebrate this remarkable milestone, we thank God for Bob's life, his faithfulness, and the blessing he has been to so many. If you would like to send Bob a birthday card or note of encouragement, please contact the church office for his mailing address.
Happy 97th Birthday, Bob! May God continue to bless you with His love, peace, and joy.
10. Happy 97th Birthday Bob!
11. Volunteering Opportunities
A. Sunday Streets Muffin Ministry: November 8
On behalf of our brothers and sisters who make a weekly evening trek around the city to visit those sleeping rough, and the members of your Social Action Team, thank you ‘muffin makers’ for your faithfulness serving in this way. Your sweet generosity is more than just baked goods; it’s an expression of care and hope in Jesus’ name.
Our Street Ministry team need muffins as soon as November 8 for our Sunday night outreach program. As we prepare for the busy summer months, we aim to have 4 dozen muffins each week to ensure we’re well-stocked and ready to bless those we serve. If you are able to help in this way, please place 12 muffins, individually wrapped, in a large zipper locked bag, and label the bag “Street Ministry”. Don’t forget to include your name and the delivery date for which you signed up. You can place the labeled muffins in the upright freezer in the main kitchen.
Please click the link below or call the church office (506-458-8348) and our admin team will be pleased to do the online registration for you. Jesus spoke of offering cups of cold water in his name. Muffins, we believe, offer the same opportunity to bless others for Him.
B. Security Volunteers Needed
We’re seeking dedicated volunteers to help keep our church safe and welcoming on weekday evenings from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Your presence makes a real difference — creating a warm, secure space where everyone feels at home. If you’re ready to step up and be part of this vital ministry, reach out to Mike Bech or call the church office at 506-458-8348 to learn more or sign up.
C. Third Sunday Supper: 2027 Monthly Schedule!
On the Third Sunday of each month, we host a supper for those in need in our community. We are now looking to fill our 2027 monthly calendar with folks willing to prepare a meal for our Third Sunday Supper (TSS) guests. At this time we only have January filled. All the other months are available, and we are anxious to fill the first few months, to get us going. We'd appreciate if you would prayerfully consider helping out with this ministry that the Lord has truly blessed for so many years.
Please contact Judy Thompson, TSS Meal Coordinator, at 506-238-9903 or judypaul1088@gmail.com. If you wish to serve in another way, just come along on the third Sunday of each month at 4:00pm. Thank you and God Bless You!

During the Contemporary Service, our team for Children’s ministries are as follows:
Nursery – Nikki Kincaid, Bonnie Kincaid
Preschool – Annaclare Culberson, Carol Reimer
KidzTown – Sam Essel, Adeline Ang
Dr. Keith Bodner will be preaching in both services. He will be focusing on Acts 16 this week. Of his sermon he says: “As we navigate the theme of transition and disruption in our series on the book of Acts during this fall season, we noted last week in chapter 15 that the gospel is much larger than we realized! This past Sunday we noted that how the Jerusalem council affirmed that faith in Jesus is the most important element for the Gentiles. We continue this week with chapter 16, as, after some frustrations and an unexpected vision, the journey of the gospel ventures toward the great cities of Europe. In the aftermath of the meeting in Jerusalem, the latest missionary tour features some unusual interruptions: although they have been ‘restrained by the Spirit’ in northern Asia Minor, Paul then receives a vision of man from Macedonia asking for help. Confident that the vision is a call to share the gospel in Europe, the group make their way toward Greece. Not only is there a ‘first convert’ (a merchant named Lydia), but Paul and his colleagues also have confrontations with powers of darkness in Philippi. This pivotal passage is instructive for TheStreet as we seek to we reach out to new people with the story of the Messiah’s arrival, as we are reminded: how the Holy Spirit ultimately directs the expansion of the church, that it is necessary for God to “open the human heart” in order to receive the message of good news, and that we should strategically prepare for various levels of opposition as we seek to be faithful in this particular cultural moment.”
We look forward to seeing you for a hope-filled Sunday as we worship together. Whether in-person or online, be sure to join us this Sunday morning for our Traditional Service at 9:30 am or our Contemporary Service at 11:15 am.

A funeral service will be held at Brunswick Street Baptist Church on Friday, October 16, 2026 at 12 pm. The family will receive friends and visitors at a reception after the funeral at Brunswick Street Baptist Church until 2:30 pm. For the full obituary click the link below:
