Hi Church Family,
Join us for Celebration Sunday! This Sunday, June 1, our traditional and contemporary congregations will come together for a special combined worship service in the sanctuary. During the service, we’ll recognize our 2025 graduates—celebrating their accomplishments and praying for their future. We’ll also be led in worship by a special Grad Band. After the service, everyone is invited to stick around for a fun-filled church family BBQ! Enjoy BBQed hotdogs, veggies, chips, cake, and ice cream—all provided for you. There will be something for everyone, including a bouncy castle, face painting, games, Sno-Cones, and a Tidal Impact bake and plant sale fundraiser. Come celebrate with us as we worship, honor our grads, and enjoy a great afternoon of food and fun together!
Hey Grads, don’t forget to take your Bibles and lawn signs home!

6. GHLC Sponsorship: New Life and Other Ministries
Spring is coming.......so summer is sure to follow! Our New Life ladies and other church ministries have seven children that would love to go to Green Hill Lake Camp this summer. The cost to send seven children to camp is approximately $5,000.00. If you would like to help make this happen, please mark your envelope, or if you give in another way, please identify your gift with GHLC Camper or Sponsorship.
So far, we have received $250.00 for GHLC sponsorships.
Thank you for considering supporting this opportunity for children to attend camp "where Christ is made known".
7. GHLC Health Centre Donations Needed
We're in full swing organizing our health and safety supplies as we gear up for an exciting season ahead. With school groups arriving soon for their adventure-filled days and summer camps just around the corner, we're making sure everything is in place to keep everyone safe and well-prepared.
You'll find fully stocked first aid kits at key activity centers across the campsite, workplace-level kits in the maintenance shop and kitchen, and mini kits in each cabin. For our off-site adventures—like canoe and bicycle camps—we’ve packed larger first aid packs to ensure we're ready for anything.
Nurse Nancy and Boo Boo (aka Carol Reimer) have placed a tote in the Connection Centre for anyone wishing to donate supplies for the Health Centre.
For First Aid, we are looking for the following:
Band-aids of all sizes and types, tick removal kits, small freezies (for tasty ice packs), medical tape, gauze pads 2x2 and 4x4, gauze rolls, large absorbent dressings, antiseptic wound spray, Moleskin bandages for blisters, sunscreen.
We often have campers arrive without personal hygiene items and like to have a stock of the following:
Travel size shampoo & body wash, facecloths, deodorant, combs, brushes, feminine hygiene items.
The most important thing we want this summer though is your prayers for the health and safety of everyone who comes to Green Hill Lake Camp.
8. One Con: May 30 to 31
Please be in prayer for our One Con Youth team as they travel to Moncton. They will be leaving from BSBC at 4:30 pm on Friday, May 30 and returning to BSBC around 7:00 pm on Saturday, May 31. Pray for traveling mercies, heart-felt God moments, and great fellowship amongst the team.
9. Oasis: August 7 to 9
Oasis is the annual gathering of the Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada (CBAC), a family of churches spread all over Atlantic Canada. CBAC churches send pastors and delegates to Oasis. Each August, we gather to deepen relationships, build community, learn tools for thriving in ministry, worship together, make decisions around budgets, and vision for the future. OASIS is also a time to celebrate God’s faithfulness and our shared mission.
Our theme this year is “Hope upon Hope”. It is our prayer and hope that you leave OASIS “overflowing with hope”, filled with inspiration, new friendships, and joy leading into the fall season. Join us for the 179th Annual gathering this August. OASIS will take place August 7-9, 2025, on the Acadia University campus in Wolfville, Nova Scotia.
We currently have five delegates registered. To be a delegate for BSBC, you must be a member of BSBC. Based on our membership, we can send 10 delegates. If you are not a member, you can start the process for membership or you can attend OASIS as a guest. Guests can participate in everything but cannot vote on business. Are you interested in being one of our delegates to OASIS? We are able to provide a stipend of $200 to cover your registration and help with expenses. If you would like to become a member or if you are able to attend, please contact Naomi in the church office (naomi.phillips@bsbc.nb.ca) and she will complete your registration.
In preparation for registration, delegates will be asked to indicate their preferred Breakout Workshops.
Our very own Rev. Ross Watters is leading one of the Oasis Rallies titled “Hope in The Church”.

17. This Sunday’s Worship Gatherings: June 1
This Sunday, we will celebrate our Graduates with a combined service in the Sanctuary. The worship team today will be a special Grad Band.
Dr. Keith Bodnar will be preaching. Of his sermon titled “Built for Life”, he says, “Over the past year we’ve been intermittently studying the Sermon on the Mount, the famous words of the Lord Jesus that start with “blessed are the poor in spirit, for to them belongs the kingdom of heaven,” and then proceeds to address an array of topics ranging from anxiety and spiritual warfare to generosity and letting your light shine like a city on a hill. On this Graduation Sunday we will wrap up our series with a look at the closing moments of the Sermon in Matthew 7:24-29 and explore the climactic comparison of the two houses—including the house with a firm foundation on a solid rock—that provide an encouraging challenge for both our graduates and all of us at TheStreet in these days”.
Whether in-person or online, be sure to join us this Sunday morning at 10:30 am.
